With the many entertainment choices New York City has to offer, it can be difficult to make a choice. Look no further. "On Stage" host Frank DiLella has curated a list of “must-see” shows this week, directing you to the best of Broadway, off-Broadway and beyond.
“Home”
The first show of the 2024 - 2025 Broadway season is a revival of “Home” by playwright Samm-Art Williams, who passed away on Monday. Under the direction of Tony Award-winner Kenny Leon, “Home” follows the optimistic Cephus Miles played by television star Tory Kittles from “The Equalizer” and his yearning for a place to belong. “Home” is now in previews at The Roundabout Theatre Company’s Todd Haimes Theatre. Opening is set for June 5.
“All of Me”
Heading to the off-Broadway scene, Emmy and Golden Globe Award-winner Kyra Sedgwick returns to the stage in “All of Me,” courtesy of The New Group. Host Frank DiLella recently caught up with Sedgwick in the “On Stage” studio to learn more about “All of Me.”
“It’s incredibly funny and moving,” she said. “Our two romantic leads are disabled actors in wheelchairs and they’re doing text to speech technology, which is what Stephen Hawking used back in the day. And it really supports the comedy in a shocking way that you’re not expecting.”

Betty Buckley
And finally, Tony Award-winner Betty Buckley returns to Joe’s Pub May 16 through May 18 with her latest act. The master songstress is best known for her star turns in musicals like “Cats,” “Sunset Boulevard” and “The Mystery of Edwin Drood.” Expect to hear some classics from the 60s, a few of Betty’s favorite Broadway tunes and more.
