Presidential politics were on the marquee, and every seat in the house was full, so much so that some couldn't get inside.
Elizabeth Warren went to them first on Tuesday night.
"The bad news is, there is no more room inside. The good news is, there is no more room inside," she said.
She then addressed a crowd of thousands inside, just as news broke of an attack in Iraq.
"Americans do not want a war with Iran!" she said.
Warren was appearing alongside former housing secretary Julián Castro for the first time after he endorsed her campaign.
Castro dropped out of the race last week. Many interpret the tag team move as an attempt to try to reinvigorate the Warren campaign. After rising in the fall, she has fallen behind in the polls.
The Iowa caucuses are less than a month away.
"It is a great honor to be in this fight with Julián Castro," Warren said.
Others wonder whether Castro could be Warren's choice for a potential vice presidential candidate. NY1 asked him.
"I don't assume that, and she's not assuming that because she knows she has to win the Democratic nomination. I am supporting her because I believe what she believes in," he said.
Warren, of course, needs the nomination first, and her campaign would need momentum.
"You build a great fortune in America, I guarantee you built it in least in part with workers all of us helped pay to educate," she said Tuesday.
In Brooklyn on Tuesday, she certainly had support in the Kings Theatre.
"I'm actually set on voting for Warren, and I have been since the summer," said one person at the event.
"I am a big fan of Elizabeth. I think she's a great role model for girls everywhere. I like her plans," said another.
Of course, we have a few more weeks to find out whether support in Brooklyn will translate in Iowa.
