NEW YORK — Police are looking for a man an Apple store security guard said stabbed him in Manhattan on Friday after a dispute over wearing a face covering.

The attack happened just before 6:30 p.m. at the store on 14th Street and 9th Avenue.

The 37-year-old security guard inside the store told the NYPD the suspect got into an argument with him about wearing a mask before stabbing him in the arm and the forehead with a knife. The attacker then fled into the 14th Street subway station.

The security guard was taken to the hospital and was expected to survive.

No arrest has been announced as of this writing.

Apple's policy stipulates all customers must wear a mask when in the store, and one will be provided to those who don't have them.
