ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- The man now charged with the killing of a Rochester woman was out on parole at the time, according to the Monroe County District Attorney's Office.

Juan Perez-Flores is charged with murder and burglary, and was arraigned Wednesday following the unsealing of an indictment.

The body of Ashley Arroyo-Bautista was found July 18, 2016 inside a home on Wilkins Street, which is on Rochester's northeast side. Arroyo-Bautista was 20. Police did not say how she died.

Perez-Flores, on parole for an attempted robbery conviction from 2009, was in custody since Arroyo-Bautista's death; held for violating his parole. He's due in court on April 26.
