Federally Qualified Health Centers, or more simply Community Health Centers, serve two million New Yorkers every year. They exist to provide services to any one, whether they have health insurance or not. But providers say they need more funding assistance to maintain these services, and they're calling on the governor and legislature to help. Our next two guests are both board members for the Community Health Care Association of New York State: Lindsay Farrell is the President and CEO of Open Door Family Medical Centers in Westchester and Harvey Lawrence is the President and CEO of Brownsville Multi-Service Family Health Center in Brooklyn.
