Oakdale Mall in Johnson City will soon be losing a major department store.
Macy's says it's planning to close the anchor that opened in the mall in 2000. The store currently employs 58-workers.
The retailer said the move is part of a plan to close about 100 locations nationwide with the goal of cutting costs by $550 million in 2017.
