LOS ANGELES — The 6.7 magnitude Northridge earthquake of 1994 remains as one of the most devastating natural disasters in U.S. history.

Diavolo: Architecture In Motion teamed up with The Soraya, at the Cal State Univeristy, Northridge campus, for the multi-media performance piece “Existencia,” which reflects on how a “community resets and evolves in the face of disaster.”

Also featuring live music by Thana Alexa and Antonio Sánchez and vertical choreography by Flight by Bandaloop, “Existencia” premieres at The Soraya on Jan. 17 and 19 — 30 years after the Northridge quake.
