For many, the holiday season means favorite Christmas songs are on constant rotation. And while countless performers release holiday albums each year, one New Yorker does Christmas music year round. In fact, Elizabeth Chan only writes Christmas songs.
Chan is not a trained musician, singer, or songwriter. She had a successful career in marketing, but decided to give that up a decade ago to instead revisit her childhood dream of writing Christmas songs full time.
She’s been so successful, not only does she have nearly a dozen albums and hundreds of Christmas songs written, there are plans to turn her life story into a made-for-TV movie.
Chan joined "News All Day" to play some of her songs and discuss her career with Stephanie Simon.
