Rent at The Music Hall at Snug Harbor
Not only is the Harbor Lights Theater Company presenting the Tony and Pulitzer Prize winning musical "Rent" at The Music Hall at Snug Harbor on Staten Island, it's also offering student rush tickets. Company Freak at Harlem Stage Gatehouse
Also Friday night at the Harlem Stage Gatehouse, the dance music super group "Company Freak" is joined by an amazing roster of disco/soul stars of the 70's and 80's for an amazing night of music and dancing to celebrate their new album. Tickets are $30.

Back to School at 54 Below
Back to school just got better with a great fundraising concert Sunday night at 54 Below. Two of your faves from "Title of Show" - Hunter Bell and Susan Blackwell - will co-host Broadway Back to School, an evening of fun and music to help the International Thespian Society support theatre education for underserved students. Tickets start at just $45.

Singer/songwriter Toshi Reagon's "Word*Rock*Sword: A Festival Exploration of Women's Lives" continues through Saturday night with a concert at Le Poisson Rouge. Tickets are $20.

Next Wave Festival
BAM's Next Wave Festival has just begun. It celebrates the best in new performance including "Nufonia Must Fall," about a tone-deaf root that makes music. It is inspired by Kid Koala’s graphic novel of the same name. He also wrote the score. It is at the Harvey Theater tonight through Sunday. Tickets are $20.
