Investigators said Monday that a flirtatious glance may have prompted a deadly highway shooting in Brooklyn Saturday.
Police say 18-year-old Francesco Santillo was shot in the head while riding in car on the Belt Parkway in Bath Beach on Saturday.
Investigators told family members Francesco and his friends had been flirting with two women in another vehicle when someone in that car took out a gun.
”Apparently, they said that as they were going into the merging lane to get onto the highway, the car pulled up right next to them, the back window pulled down, the guy pulled out a gun, shot him, and they drove away," said Aldo Santillo, the victim’s cousin.
Police are looking for a white four-door Lincoln Sedan. A woman and two passengers were in the car at the time of the shooting.
Anyone with information on the car or its occupants is asked to call Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS.
