A new book shines a spotlight on the role of essential workers during the pandemic by asking them to tell their own stories.
Written by Manhattan borough historian Robert Snyder, "When the City Stopped: Stories from New York's Essential Workers" tells the story of COVID through the words of every day New Yorkers using interviews, first-person narratives, poems and more.
Snyder joined NY1 anchor Rocco Vertuccio on "Weekends on 1" Saturday to discuss the book and COVID's legacy in the five boroughs.
