Housing will be a hot topic in the City Council this week. On Monday and Tuesday, the Subcommittee on Zoning and Franchises holds two hearings on the mayor's "City of Yes" proposal.
It calls for sweeping changes to zoning policy to permit the construction of many more apartments across the city to alleviate the housing shortage. But the Council now says it needs to hear more testimony before it's ready to vote on the plan.
