A lot of what the City Council does regularly takes place in a public format, but that doesn’t necessarily make it easy for members of the public to find out what lawmakers have been up to.

Earlier this year, an independent developer launched a new website called citymeetings.nyc. It uses AI technology to transcribe every public event the City Council publishes, summarizes and organizes them into chapters that the developer says are easy to navigate.

The website also publishes a weekly newsletter with highlights. Anchor Rocco Vertuccio spoke with the website’s creator, Vikram Oberoi, on “Weekends on 1” Saturday morning.
