Since 1887, the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Feast in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, has been a popular gathering where Italian Americans celebrate their faith, family, and tradition.
One of the favorite traditions is the Dancing of the Giglio, where dozens walk down the street lifting a nearly 65-foot statue.
On Sunday, the annual Giglio Feast returns, bringing Neapolitan traditions to life.
NY1's Rocco Vertuccio spoke with Domenic Varuzza, one of the Feast's organizers, about the event.
