Black Restaurant Week returns to the city for its fifth year. The event runs through June 30 to help promote Black-owned restaurants in the city.

It's designed to help stimulate the economies within Black communities by promoting Black-owned culinary businesses and professionals who cannot afford advertising or a marketing campaign.

NY1 anchor Rocco Vertuccio spoke with Eric McCree, owner of Filé Gumbo Bar in Tribeca, about the importance of promoting and supporting Black-owned restaurants.
