This week marks Black Maternal Health Week, which highlights some of the issues Black women face before, during and after childbirth.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Black women are much more likely to die from pregnancy-related issues than white women. And in the city, the disparity is even greater.

Anchors Rocco Vertuccio and Shannan Ferry spoke with the chief women's health service officer for NYC Health + Hospitals, Dr. Wendy Wilcox, about Black Maternal Health Week.
