As Black History Month continues, Secret NYC is putting the focus on Black-owned businesses in the city.
Entrepreneurship can be an important way to empower families for generations, but, according to the city's Small Business Services, there are disproportionately few Black-owned businesses in the city.
Blacks make up more than 20% of the city's population, but only 3.5% of the businesses in the city are owned by Black entrepreneurs.
Secret NYC has put together a list of 30 Black-owned businesses in the city to support not only during Black History Month, but all year long.
