A new documentary is highlighting the stories of some of the pioneers who became flight attendants at a time when single women could not order a drink, own a credit card or eat alone at a restaurant.

"Fly with Me" brings the first-hand accounts of these women who changed the world while flying it, calling for civil rights legislation and equal opportunities.

NY1 anchors Rocco Vertuccio and Shannan Ferry spoke with one of the films' directors, Sarah Colt, and one of the women highlighted in the film, Ann Hood, about the inspiration for the documentary and issues flight attendants face today.
