QUEENS, N.Y. - For the second time in a week, the MTA was been forced to deal with bed bugs at a subway control tower in Queens.
Sources say exterminators were brought in Monday night to fumigate the tower at the 71st Avenue stop in Forest Hills.
That's the same tower where bed bugs were discovered last Wednesday during the evening rush.
The control tower was evacuated and fumigated, but the work caused hours of disruptions on the E, F, M, and R trains.
Sources say Monday night's fumigation did not affect subway service.
