Two train lines were partially suspended Friday morning amid a medical emergency at the Delancey Street-Essex Street station in Manhattan, the MTA said.
J and M train service between Brooklyn and Manhattan shut down as emergency crews responded to an incident where a person was struck by a train, according to officials.
As a result, J trains heading toward Broad Street are ending their routes at Marcy Avenue in Brooklyn. M trains bound for Forest Hills are also being diverted, terminating at either Marcy Avenue or Myrtle Avenue. Metropolitan Avenue-bound M trains are also being rerouted to end at 2nd Avenue on the F line in Manhattan.
The MTA has advised commuters to use alternate subway lines, including the A, C, L, 2, 3 and 4 trains, to navigate around the service disruption.
No information was immediately available about the condition of the person struck or when normal service might resume.
