One person was killed in an apartment fire in Brooklyn on Wednesday night, according to fire officials.
The blaze took place at a building on Jefferson Avenue just after 7 p.m.
Officials responded to the call for the fire on the second floor of a three-story building.
One additional person and one firefighter were seriously injured, but their injuries are not considered life-threatening, according to officials.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
