NEW YORK - A woman has pled guilty to releasing a swarm of crickets on a crowded subway car in 2016.
Zyeeda Pew said she let 300 crickets loose on a D train because she wanted to draw attention to how the homeless are treated.
Another rider pulled the emergency brake after the bugs went flying, leaving the train stranded on the Manhattan Bridge.
Pugh pleaded guilty to reckless endangerment.
Instead of jail, she was ordered to enroll in a treatment program.
