NEW YORK - The Daily News is endorsing public advocate Letitia James for State Attorney General. 

The paper acknowledged she was not its choice in the primary.

The editorial board is still concerned over her close ties to the governor. 

But ultimately it says she's better suited to lead the state's top lawyers.

As for her Republican opponent, the News said Keith Wofford can't be trusted to go after people in power.
