A Manhattan museum is highlighting its collection of art from Nepal.
The country is struggling after last month's devastating earthquake, and curators at the Rubin Museum in Chelsea wanted to draw attention to the region.
The museum specializes in art and culture from the Himilayan region and is now marking Nepalese works with the hashtag "#HonorNepal."
"Because our community exists far beyond New York, the website that we've created called Honoring Nepal will enable visitors no matter where they are in the world to connect through the art to the people, to the cultures, and unfortunately to this tragedy," said executive director Patrick Sears.
The Rubin has installed more works from its Nepalese collection in its lobby. They will offer special tours and other programs through the summer. For more information including a list of organizations helping with relief efforts, go to RubinMuseum.org/Nepal.
