New court filings by the Department of Justice say the Trump administration will not enforce, and may rescind, mental health parity.

This requires Americans with private health insurance to have access to affordable mental health services.

The Biden-era rule ensured access to therapy, medication, and rehabilitation.

In the filing, the department said it was considering rescinding the rule altogether. This, as the Trump administration pulls more than $11 billion in funding for local mental health programs and nonprofits.
