BRONX, N.Y. — Two firefighters were injured battling a four-alarm fire Tuesday night at a supermarket in the Bronx.

Authorities said both firefighters were transported to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi and are expected to survive.

The fire broke out around 5 p.m. in the basement of the Bravo Supermarket located at 1869 Archer Street in Parkchester.

The FDNY said the fire then spread to the first floor.

More than 160 fire and EMS personnel responded to the scene.

The blaze was brought under control just before 10 p.m.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
