Police are hunting for a man whose violent attack on a woman was caught on video earlier this month.

Investigators say the attack took place shortly after 2 a.m. on Sunday, August 2.

The 24-year-old victim was approached from behind on West 138th Street in Manhattan.

She was thrown to the ground, and repeatedly punched and kicked.

Her attacker took her purse and iPhone, then ran west towards Eighth Avenue.

The victim refused medical attention.

The suspect is described as being in his late teens or early 20s, with brown eyes with black hair.
