Al Sharpton was in court this morning to face charges connected to the massive protest he led in response to the Sean Bell verdict.

Sharpton appeared in State Supreme Court in Manhattan to face disorderly conduct charges.

He has rejected several plea deals that would have kept him out of jail. His next court date is set for October 6th.

Bell was killed in a hail of 50 bullets fired by police officers as he was leaving his bachelor party in November, 2006.
