A new non profit here on the Island aims to help prevent the spread of HIV.
The founder of HIV Smart hopes to help educate people about new drugs that can prevent the disease as well as behaviors that put people at risk.
The group also hopes to shed light on the link between depression and those who are HIV-positive.
A social media campaign was also created to help fight the disease's stigma.
"People see the imagery and they have conversations about it. They realize there's nothing to be ashamed of no matter what their status is, negative or positive...You have to educate yourself. You have to know either how to prevent yourself and you have to know your status," said Founder Ryan Colford.
