Officials have set a new date for the groundbreaking ceremony for the New York Wheel.
The event will now take place on Thursday, April 16.
The groundbreaking was supposed to be held next week, but developers said the frigid winter prompted them to reschedule to a time when people can more comfortably gather outdoors.
When complete, the 60-story ride is expected to be the tallest observation wheel in the world.
An adjacent outlet mall is planned as well.
