Opportunities for plant research are growing at a school in the borough.
Students and local officials cut the ribbon on a new hydroponic lab at P.S. 122 Friday.
City Councilman Costa Constantinides helped fund it.
The lab will give students the opportunity to learn about how plants grow and how they can be used.
"This is an opportunity to understand, like, the life cycle of, you know, how things become food, how, how we're all connected with to one another, how we're connected to nature," said Constantinides.
A new hydroponic lab at P.S. 70 is expected to open in the next couple of weeks.
I.S. 126 and P.S. 84 are slated to get their own labs as well.
