A Queens mall is going without a Christmas Tree again this year in honor of another attraction.
Queens Crossing has unveiled Luz de Maxikiosco. The house made of steel frames and rivets is at the corner of 138th and 39th avenue.
Different color plexiglass windows are meant to reflect the borough's diversity.
For the past 10 years, the mall has been celebrating the holidays with different art pieces instead of a tree.
"We were trying to make something different so it's like a tradition in Flushing already. Every year, people are expecting 'Oh, what do Queens Crossing have this year," said Manager Wesley Sin.
The piece will be on display through January 30th.
