An organization helping residents with disabilities and special needs opened their doors to the public this weekend.
Gallop NYC held its 2nd open house on Sunday at its Howard Beach location.
During the visit attendees lent a helping hand by decorating barn doors.
They also got a chance to learn about how the horses are cared for and to meet a new addition a miniature horse.
"This is Joy. She is our miniature horse. She is adorable as you can see," said Gallop NYC’s Executive Director Alicia Kershaw.
"She's very cute and very sweet and just having a miniature horse is a great opportunity for us to take her places. She's going to be our little mascot," said Amanda Gallo, an instructor at Gallop NYC.
