Sunday's icy weather set the scene for a Winter Art Show in Fort Totten.
The Bayside Historical Society hosted the event for the 17th year on Sunday.
More than 30 local artists submitted work to be displayed in the gallery.
Submissions were broken down into five categories and then judged by a panel.
Organizers with the event said the show is a great way for local artists to get their name out there.
"There is great culture happening right here in Bayside, I mean we live right next to Manhattan, we live near Brooklyn, those are great places I work there and go there, but it is great to have you stay right here at home to see some pretty high art," said Paul DiBenedetto, the President of the Bayside Historical Society.
The show is open to the public through Sunday February 19.
