A Queens truck driver has been arrested for allegedly rigging his bumper to help him dodge toll evasion fines.
Pablo Ortega, 45, is charged with tampering with public records and possession of burglary tools.
Port Authority police say they caught him activating a retractable bumper to hide his truck's license plate while going through a toll lane.
They say his rear plate was covered with grease, making it unreadable as well.
Ortega was caught on the George Washington Bridge at around 8:30 a.m.
