Volunteers were hard at work Christmas morning, preparing a hot meal for more than a thousand people.

Each year, visitors are treated to a free sit-down dinner full of holiday favorites like turkey and stuffing.

Goddard Riverside Community Center has been running the event for the last 30 years.

Volunteers will also deliver more than 500 meals to those who aren't able to leave home.
