If you've ever wondered where Santa gets his moves, the answer turns out to be East Flatbush.

Saint Nick and holiday robotics are made at "Mechanical Displays" in Brooklyn.

They've been in business since 1969 when the owner, Lou Nasti, created his first robot.

They sell the figures to homeowners and businesses across the nation and around the world.

For Christmas orders, work starts in February.

"We work with pneumatic, we work with gear motors, we work with stepping motors, we work with servos, anything can make something move if you know how to work the technology."

Nasti says they even get requests to animate plush toys — like teddy bears.

The cost of the project depends upon the size of the undertaking.
