A photo display in the Bronx challenges stereotypes surrounding fatherhood in Black communities.
The exhibit "Father Figure" is now on display at the Bronx Documentary Center in honor of Black History Month.
More than a dozen photos capture the daily and intimate moments of fatherhood in African American families.
Photographer Zun Lee worked on the project for more than seven years.
Many of the men Lee photographed are from the Bronx and Harlem.
"He had spent his whole life being saturated with negative images of black fatherhood, so he wanted to set the record straight and show there are so many great, positive fathers and father figures out there, " said Bronx Documentary Center Director Mike Kamber.
The exhibit will be on display at the Bronx Documentary Center through March 31st.
