As straphangers await their first ride on the Second Avenue subway, the MTA has announced its schedule for rolling out the line.
It all begins with an inaugural ride at 10:30 p.m. on New Year's Eve.
The ceremonial trip will take off at 72nd Street and make stops at the 86th and 96th stations.
Public service gets underway on New Year's Day, but only from noon to 10 p.m. For the next week, riders can hop on at 6 a.m. through 10 p.m.
24-hour service kicks off on Monday, January 9.
