The first Tuesday after Thanksgiving marks “Giving Tuesday.”

It’s a day to promote generosity in the spirit of giving back after Black Friday and Cyber Monday spending.

People around the world are encouraged to donate to nonprofits and make change for the better.

One local nonprofit, Brooklyn Org, is hosting its most impactful day of the year, aiming to raise one million dollars to support organizations based in Brooklyn.
