There is a new music venue in the city.

The Bronx Music Hall has officially opened to the public.

The more than $15 million, 14,000-square foot venue is the first newly constructed performance venue in the borough in more than 50 years.

The venue features a 250-person capacity performance theater, an exhibition hall, a dance studio, a recording studio and amphitheater-style seating for outdoor performances.

The new facility will also be the new permanent home of the Bronx Music Heritage Center.

Bobby Sanabria, Grammy-nominated Bronx artist and co-artistic director of the Bronx Music Heritage Center, and Kerry McLean, vice president of community development at WHEDco, joined “The Rush Hour” on Friday to discuss the new venue.
