"Hell’s Kitchen" and "Stereophonic" emerged as frontrunners for the 77th Annual Tony Awards on Tuesday, each securing 13 nominations.

"Hell’s Kitchen" features Alicia Keys' iconic songs, while "Stereophonic" delves into the story of a '70s rock band teetering on the brink of stardom.

This year's nominations also included a historic number of women recognized in the best director category.

In total, 28 productions received Tony nominations, including "The Outsiders," a musical adaptation of S. E. Hinton's beloved novel and Francis Ford Coppola's renowned film, which earned 12 nominations, and a revival of "Cabaret," starring Eddie Redmayne, which saw nine.

This year’s Tony Award ceremony will be on June 16 at Lincoln Center with host Ariana DeBose returning for her third consecutive year.
