A 7-year-old child is in critical condition after falling from a window at a public housing complex in the Bronx.

This happened today around 11 a.m. at the Bronx River Houses on Harrod Avenue and East 174th Street in Soundview.

Investigators say the child fell from a 9th story window.

The child was taken to a nearby hospital.

Police are now investigating.
