BROOKLYN, N.Y. - One person is dead and four people are in custody after a shooting at a Target in Brooklyn late Wednesday night.
The shooting happened around 11 p.m. at the Target in Downtown Brooklyn.
Police say a man was followed and harassed by four people. They say they followed him into the store, surrounded him and pulled out knives. The victim then pulled out a gun and shot one of the members of the group.
Spencer Carlton later died at the hospital.
One person who spoke with Spectrum News at the scene says he is not surprised.
"It's just one of those things that in this country so far no gun control you're gonna have people who always have guns. As long as these people have guns and are not supposed to have guns legally or illegally it's going to be a problem no matter what," he added.
The gunman and three other members of the group were taken into police custody.
Investigators believe the people involved were members of a gang.
