Several people were hurt Thursday after a school bus carrying students from Brooklyn overturned on the New Jersey Turnpike.
New Jersey State Police say it happened just before 4 p.m. near the Goethals Bridge.
The school bus was from the Mevakshei Hashem School in Kensington.
A member of the board of directors at the school says two classes of fifth graders were on their way to Diggerland Amusement Park in New Jersey when the incident happened.
The students were eventually driven back to the school on two different buses.
A number of people suffered minor injuries.
There is no word yet on what caused the accident or how many people were on the bus at the time of the accident.
The Port Authority says the northbound New Jersey Turnpike exit ramp from the outer roadway to the bridge is closed off.
