There's been a lot of talk recently about legalizing marijuana.

One of the questions that's inevitably raised is how much income it could bring in for the government.

City Comptroller Scott Stringer estimates that number could be $336 million a year for the city.

With an estimated half a million users expected to spend $2,000 a year, that is a potential $1.1 billion taxable industry for the state.
