Police are looking for a man they said was wearing a "Make America Great Again" hat and shirt and pushed another man onto subway tracks in Manhattan after shouting derogatory remarks at him.

It happened around 8:15 p.m. Friday at the Union Square subway station.

Police said the attacker directed anti-Hispanic slurs at the 24-year-old victim while both men were on a northbound 4 train approaching the station.

They say he then followed the victim off the train, punched him in the head multiple times, and then pushed him onto the tracks.

A friend and another person helped the man onto the platform. He was treated at a local hospital for a cut to his head.

Police said the attacker had fled on a Brooklyn-bound L train.

He is described as wearing a red "Make American Great Again" hat and shirt, blue overalls, a black jacket, and jewelry around his neck.
