NEW YORK - Would you pay $100,000 for the door of a hotel room Bob Dylan once stayed at?
Well, someone did.
Fifty-five doors from the Chelsea Hotel were auctioned off Thursday night.
The doors were discarded during renovations of the famed hotel and recovered by a once-homeless man who offered them up for auction.
Part of the proceeds go to City Harvest, which gets food to those in need.
Other famous names attached to the doors include Jimi Hendrix and Bob Marley.
