A dead body is found floating in the East River off Pier 17 at the South Street Seaport.

Police say they believe the victim is a 30-year-old woman.

Authorities say they found the woman unconscious and floating face down.

She was removed from the water and pronounced dead at the scene.

The Medical Examiner is working to determine the cause of death.
