A city firefighter accused of trafficking fentanyl was released on bond Sunday afternoon in Brooklyn.
Authorities said Anthony Marino, 45, a firefighter at Ladder 11 in the East Village, received the powerful opioid by mail after ordering it from the dark web.
U.S. postal inspectors reportedly headed the investigation.
He was released on a $100,000 bond on the condition that he goes straight to rehab. He is expected to head to rehab in Scranton, Pennsylvania.
Marino is facing drug trafficking charges.
The FDNY has not commented on Marino's arrest. He will be due back in court sometime after 30 days.
